ARAS is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Operations Manager Executive, for a role in the aged care sector based in our Dulwich office.

Ideally successful candidates will have an interest and experience in aged care, aged rights, human services, and or social justice. Previous experience in a comparable Executive position is essential for success in this role, as is experience in the aged care sector.

The Operations Manager Executive reports to and works closely with the Chief Executive, maintains a collaborative and productive working relationship with the Corporate Services Manager Executive, leadership teams and staff to achieve ARAS’ strategic goals.

About the Organisation

ARAS is the South Australian component of the National Aged Care Advocacy Program and is funded by the Australian Department of Health and provides advocacy and related services across South Australia. It is also funded by other Federal and State Government agencies to deliver Retirement Village advocacy, Care Finder, and Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme.

Qualification, Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will possess:

A Degree or master's qualification in business, human services, behavioural science, community services or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

Demonstrable evidence of ongoing and recent upgrading of skills and knowledge.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing medium to large teams.

Proven ability to construct and write successful tenders for funding, and a demonstrable track record of achieving contract outcome.

Proven ability to engage and maintain professional relationships with key external stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to participate in a complex working environment supporting procedures, policies, and regulations which impact on the position.
