About the role

This role involves managing and coordinating import and export shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery, with responsibility for preparing and processing import/export documentation, customs declarations, permits and shipping documents. You will ensure compliance with Singapore Customs regulations, trade policies, export control requirements and company procedures, while liaising with freight forwarders, logistics providers, customs agents and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment-related issues.

Key responsibilities

Manage and coordinate import and export shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery

Prepare and process import/export documentation, customs declarations, permits and shipping documents

Ensure compliance with Singapore Customs regulations, trade policies, export control requirements and company procedures

Support EAR (Export Administration Regulations) compliance and export control requirements

Handle and coordinate Singapore Customs permits, including Bulk Permit requirements, where applicable

Liaise with freight forwarders, logistics providers, customs agents and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment-related issues

Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, investigate delays and provide timely updates

Coordinate with warehouse, production, procurement and planning teams to ensure smooth logistics operations

Maintain accurate logistics records and prepare operational reports

Support inventory movement, shipment planning and continuous process improvement

About you

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related discipline

1–2 years of relevant experience in logistics, import/export, shipping, customs or supply chain, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of Singapore Customs regulations, import/export procedures, customs permits and trade policies

Experience with import/export documentation and customs clearance

Familiarity with freight forwarding and shipment coordination

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SAP or ERP system knowledge is an advantage

Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills

Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Proactive team player with a willingness to learn
