What you'll be doing
As a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist, you'll turn ideas and opportunities into engaging stories and strategic communications that reach diverse audiences and support WSLHD's priorities.

• Develop and deliver external communications strategies, campaigns and digital and social media content.
• Research, write, edit and produce high-quality written, video and audio content tailored to different audiences.
• Identify strong news stories and work with patients, families, clinicians, staff, executives and stakeholders to bring them to life.
• Lead media engagement, including managing contentious issues, coordinating media events and providing strategic advice and executive briefings.
• Conduct video interviews and support filming, launches, Ministerial visits and photo shoots, while staying ahead of emerging digital and social media trends.

This varied and dynamic role combines content creation, media and stakeholder relations and strategic communications. 1. Tertiary qualifications in media management, journalism or communications, public relations and/or equivalent relevant experience.
2. Superior communication skills and experience in planning, researching, writing, editing and producing written, audio and video content including media releases, speeches, video, podcasts and newsletters and content for social media.
3. Demonstrated experience in issues management and formulation of media strategy and responses.
4. Demonstrated ability to strategically plan, manage and coordinate corporate events, VIP and media visits.
5. Proven time-management skills with the ability to manage and work under competing and tight deadlines.
6. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders from senior government officials to the community, including people of different cultures.
7. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible, positive and collaborative approach.
8. Current NSW Driver’s Licence, (P2 Licence acceptable).
