About the role

Support and assist in the Crude Tea Section's operations under the clear directions and leadership of the Production Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

Assist in maintaining and servicing all processing machines in the factory during the non-harvest season

Assist in repairing machines during breakdowns

Order and purchase parts for machines

Assist in managing projects carried out by the company from time to time

Empty fresh green tea leaves into relevant processing machines using a forklift

Operate machines and monitor conditions of the green tea in the factory

Assist in cleaning the machines

Learn about the quality standards of green tea

Fill in the relevant paperwork such as the maintenance log, Cleaning Record and Harvesting Record

Report verbally and in writing to the Production Supervisor when necessary

About you

Verbal and written communication skills (essential)

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment (essential)

Car Licence (essential)

Forklift Licence (essential)

Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent (preferred)

Previous work experience driving forklifts and/or trucks, and machinery maintenance (preferred)

Computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred)

Organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills (preferred)

Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and practices (preferred)

Heavy Rigid Licence (preferred)
