Job Summary

We're seeking a motivated and reliable Orchard Operator to join our team at Loxton North. Reporting to the Orchard Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the orchard, including tractor work, irrigation, spraying support and general orchard maintenance. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in producing high-quality fruit.

About the Role

Reporting to the Orchard Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Operating tractors and a range of orchard machinery safely and efficiently.

Monitoring and managing irrigation systems.

Assisting with spray operations and other seasonal orchard activities.

Pruning, thinning and general orchard maintenance.

Assisting with harvest operations when required.

Supporting and assisting contractors working on-site.

Maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance requirements.

Following all workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience

To be successful you'll ideally have:

Experience operating tractors or agricultural machinery.

Experience in horticulture, farming or agriculture (preferred).

A current driver's licence.

Chemical user's accreditation (desirable but not essential).

Good mechanical aptitude.

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Good communication skills and willingness to be part of a team.
