About the Role

We're looking for a senior, commercially-minded corporate lawyer with genuine, hands-on project financing experience to join this high-calibre legal team. This is a role for someone who has personally led financing transactions — not just reviewed them — and wants to sit close to the business with real influence over how deals and governance decisions get made.

You'll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, with project and structured financing as a core pillar of your remit alongside joint ventures, M&A, and strategic initiatives central to the group's growth agenda.

What You'll Be Working On

Leading complex financing transactions — structuring, negotiating, and closing project and asset-level financing, working directly with lenders, sponsors, and internal commercial teams as the lead lawyer, not a supporting reviewer

Leading joint ventures and strategic partnerships across multiple jurisdictions — from structuring through full lifecycle management

Advising on JV governance: board structures, minority protections, reserved matters, deadlock mechanisms

Running end-to-end M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestments, and strategic investments

Building and embedding governance frameworks and standards across entities and regions

What We're Looking For

Qualified lawyer with strong academic credentials

Typically 15+ years' PQE, from top-tier law firms and/or senior in-house roles

Demonstrated, hands-on project/structured financing experience as lead counsel — this is a hard requirement; candidates who have only reviewed or supported financing deals (without leading them) will not be a fit

Strong parallel experience in joint ventures and M&A

Exposure to large-scale, asset-heavy or capital-intensive sectors

Proven international, multi-jurisdictional deal experience

Commercially pragmatic, confident operating with and influencing senior stakeholders
