About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Officer who is keen to make a meaningful impact and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer plays a key role within the organisation, supporting the smooth day-to-day processing of financial transactions across the group’s entities.

This flexible part-time position (approx 0.6 FTE) allows you to spread your hours across the week to suit your preferences.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in our team by:

Driving timely and precise management of accounts payable

Ensure accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll for both salaried and award based employees

Proactively following up outstanding items from internal and external stakeholders

Ensure transactions are correctly allocated to categories and projects

Support the Finance Manager with BAS, Payroll Tax, and other compliance tasks as required

Assist with the month-end process and various reconciliations

Assisting with ad hoc tasks and supporting the team wherever needed.

Proactively identifying opportunities to streamline systems and improve processes.

Selection Criteria

3+ years’ hands-on experience processing financial transactions, including accounts payable, and payroll.

Confidence with Xero and Excel (advanced highly regarded).

Experience with Deputy (or similar rostering/payroll systems)

Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently, prioritise competing demands, and clearly convey information.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
