Are you an experienced Construction Materials Testing professional who knows how to keep busy projects moving, build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for growth?

HiQA is looking for an experienced Projects Leader to take responsibility for our Projects Division and play a key role in its continued growth across Australia.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who understands CMT operations, can confidently manage multiple projects and competing priorities, and has the commercial drive to develop new and existing business.

The Opportunity

As the Projects Leader, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the HiQA Projects Division, ensuring our projects are properly resourced, commercially successful and delivered to HiQA's standards.

You'll work closely with the HiQA Group Operations Leader while building strong relationships with clients, project teams and stakeholders.

This role combines project operations, people management, commercial responsibility and business development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage multiple busy projects across Australia

• Price, plan and coordinate new and existing projects

• Manage project staffing, rosters and resources

• Oversee project execution and operational performance

• Manage monthly project invoicing and commercial outcomes

• Build and maintain strong client relationships

• Actively pursue business development and new project opportunities

• Identify opportunities to grow the Projects Division

• Conduct internal audits and maintain quality and compliance standards

• Lead, mentor and support project teams

• Work closely with senior leadership to deliver operational and strategic goals

About You

We're looking for someone who brings strong technical CMT knowledge together with proven project and commercial capability.

To be successful, you will have:

✔ Diploma in Laboratory Technology (Construction Materials Testing) – essential

✔ Extensive Construction Materials Testing experience

✔ Proven experience managing multiple busy projects

✔ Demonstrated business development experience

✔ Strong client and stakeholder relationship skills

✔ Experience with project pricing, budgeting and invoicing

✔ Strong understanding of CMT quality systems and compliance requirements

✔ Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills

✔ Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

✔ Strong people management and communication skills

✔ Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes

✔ Flexibility to travel across Australia when required
