About the role
We are seeking a Drafting Officer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality distribution project outcomes. This role is responsible for producing drawings to required standards in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner across CP, URD, UID and other distribution projects.

The Drafting Officer also supports the provision of estimating and tendering information, and provides drafting training, support and technical advice to team members and customers.

About you

As a Drafting Officer, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering accurate technical drawings and design documentation with minimal technical direction. You will play an important role in ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications, while also contributing to continuous improvement in design methods and processes.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • An Advanced Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent skills and knowledge gained through experience
  • Strong drafting capability and technical understanding
  • The ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of relevant standards, specifications and drafting requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to support both internal stakeholders and customers
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
