Experienced Fitter/Machinist

Our client a respected and well‑established industry leader, is seeking an Experienced Fitter/Machinist to join their modern workshop located in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full‑time hours with a high hourly rate and consistent work.

What's on Offer

• Monday to Friday roster
• 6:00am - 2:30pm
• $50 per hour + super + overtime
• Immediate start available
• Modern workshop with quality equipment

Key Responsibilities

• Operation of Bed Mills, Horizontal Bores, and Lathes
• Operation of Key Press, Drill Press, and Saw
• Shaft turning and precision machining
• General workshop and machine maintenance
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
• Potential on‑site work as required
• CNC experience an advantage

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
• On the job experience as a Fitter, Turner, or Machinist
• Full Australian working rights
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• A proactive and safety‑focused mindset with strong WHS awareness
• High levels of reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
