Seeking a skilled Meat Processor (Slaughter Person) with knife skills wanting some work-life balance: Provenir is expanding and we’re looking for a professional with slaughter skills to support our superstar team on our mobile abattoir.

Who we are:

Provenir is a pioneer in the Australian meat industry for commercial on-farm processing, and we’re changing the game by prioritising quality and welfare. Our team travels to the top regenerative farmers across Victoria and southern NSW to conduct our on-farm processing. Our team are multi-skilled professionals and we are seeking the next professional slaughter person to join us.

We depart from our base in Geelong to travel to our farmer partners, so a truck license (HCV / HR) will be highly regarded. The working week is 3 days (36 hrs), so longer days but shorter weeks. You will be away two nights per week (generally Monday & Tuesday), with accommodation and food provided.

Qualifications & experience

Management experience

Meat processing experience (stun, stick, dehiding, evisceration)

Cert III / Cert IV meat processing

Proactive team member

Strong communication skills

Current drivers license (HR / HCV highly regarded)
