Our client is a well-established and growing freight and logistics organisation based in Murarrie. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their finance team immediately.

This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to commence immediately in a temp capacity before transitioning to a permanent role for the right person, within 1-2 months. The position offers a broad mix of Accounts Receivable, Billings, Collections, Accounts Payable and Reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end Accounts Receivable processing and customer invoicing

High-volume billings and accurate processing of freight-related charges

Proactive debtor management and collections

Investigation and resolution of customer account queries

Allocation and receipting of customer payments

Processing supplier invoices and Accounts Payable transactions

Preparation of supplier payment runs

Bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations

Reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts

Assisting with month-end processes and reporting requirements

Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance requirements

Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate billing and timely resolution of discrepancies

About You

Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer or similar position

Strong Accounts Receivable, collections and billings experience

Exposure to Accounts Payable processing

Solid reconciliation skills and strong attention to detail

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, Xero experience preferred

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
