Job Title: Project Coordinator - Major Transport Infrastructure
Location: Nerang, Gold Coast
Work Type: Long-term Contract (Until September 2027)

The Opportunity Are you a highly organised Project Coordinator looking to leave your mark on one of South East Queensland's most significant transport infrastructure projects?
We are partnering with a major government transport authority to find a dedicated Project Coordinator to join the team delivering Stage 2 of the Coomera Connector (Pimpama to Coomera). Based in Nerang, this long-term contract running until September 2027 offers an excellent hourly rate and the chance to work on a high-profile, region-shaping project.
In this role, you will be instrumental in progressing the design, environmental outcomes, property requirements, and procurement activities necessary to ensure this massive infrastructure program is a success.
What your typical day will look like: Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be the organizational backbone of the project development and delivery phases. Your key duties will include:
Project & Environmental Support: Driving the planning, coordination, and delivery of EPBC (Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation) approval activities.
Documentation & Tracking: Assisting in the development and maintenance of project management plans, schedules, risk and action registers, and reporting documentation.
Stakeholder Coordination: Managing project inputs from a wide range of technical advisors, consultants, contractors, and government stakeholders.
Meetings & Governance: Facilitating project workshops and meetings, preparing agendas, tracking minutes, and contributing to high-level briefs and presentations.
Risk Mitigation: Identifying emerging project risks and assisting the Project Manager in developing effective mitigation strategies.
What you will need to succeed:
Proven experience in a project coordination, management, or support role within the infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Project Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, or Construction Management).
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A current Class C Driver's Licence.
Highly Desirable: Previous experience on major transport projects, specifically coordinating environmental approvals and consultant management. Knowledge of the EPBC Act approval process will be highly regarded!
