Dynamix Fabrication, part of the Renko Group, is expanding its team and seeking skilled tradespeople to join our advanced manufacturing facility in Berrimah. We are recruiting for multiple roles across the business, including Press Operators and Welder Fabricators. We specialise in sheet metal, steel, and aluminium fabrication, supporting key Renko Group businesses including switchboard manufacturing and custom aluminium fabrication. The Roles

We are currently hiring for the following positions. Please indicate which role you are applying for in your application — or let us know if you have skills across more than one area.

2. Press Operator (CNC Press Brake)

As a Press Operator, you will:

• Operate CNC press brakes and associated forming equipment

• Set up jobs including tooling selection, machine setup, and program input

• Interpret technical drawings, bend schedules, and job specifications

• Perform accurate bending of sheet metal components to tight tolerances

• Adjust programs and tooling to suit different materials and thicknesses

• Conduct first-off and in-process quality inspections

• Work closely with design, laser, and fabrication teams to ensure workflow efficiency

• Maintain machines and tooling to ensure optimal performance

• Assist with general fabrication tasks where required

Essential for this role:

• Proven experience operating CNC press brakes

• Strong understanding of sheet metal forming, tolerances, and material behaviour

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bend details

Desirable:

• Experience with CNC press brake programming and setup

• Familiarity with modern press brake controls (e.g. Delem, Cybelec or similar)

3. Welder (Fabrication – MIG / TIG)

As a Welder, you will:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components

• Interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications

• Prepare materials including cutting, grinding, fitting, and alignment

• Carry out fabrication and assembly of components to specification

• Ensure weld quality meets required structural and visual standards

• Perform inspections and rectify defects where required

• Work closely with fabrication, laser, and forming teams to complete jobs efficiently

• Maintain tools and welding equipment in good working condition

Essential for this role:

• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding

• Strong understanding of welding techniques and material behaviour

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld specifications

Desirable:

• Experience welding aluminium (highly regarded)

• Trade qualification in fabrication, welding, or sheet metal work

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly

• Ability to work across a variety of fabrication processes

Skills & Qualities We're Looking For

Positive attitude with a commitment to contributing to a respectful, collaborative, and supportive team culture

Commitment to safety and following workplace procedures

Experience working with a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium (advantageous)

Forklift licence and/or high-risk work licence (advantageous)

General fabrication or workshop experience (advantageous)

Must be an Australian resident or hold a current working visa
