Based at the Fimiston mine site in Kalgoorlie, this DIDO Leading Hand position offers the perfect combination of hands-on leadership, career progression, and exceptional earning potential.

What your day looks like:

Lead a team of 10 – 15 people on day and night shift

Ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Emeco’s heavy earthmoving fleet

Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required

Working safely and adhering to relevant HSE policy and procedures to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others.

Ensuring all maintenance and optimisation targets are met on time and within budget.

Working with Emeco customers and stakeholders to meet larger organisational objectives.

What we'll need from you:

Must have full working rights within Australia

Must hold a current Section 26 Statutory Supervisor certificate

A strong commitment to safety and leadership

Recognised National Australian Trade Certificate as a Heavy Diesel Fitter

AMT exposure would be highly advantageous

Significant post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi

Prior leadership experience working on a mine site leading a team of 10+ people

Strong analytical mindset and solution focused attitude

Licence to conduct high risk work with dogging, rigging, crane and work platform classifications (desirable)

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and provide a current National Police Check.
