Shams & Yass Pty Ltd trading as Mandi Al Arabia Perth, located in Morley, WA 6062, is seeking a full-time Cook who is qualified, experienced and passionate about producing high-quality food in a busy commercial kitchen. Responsibilities and Duties will include, but not limited to:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, menus and food safety standards

Examining food ingredients and seasoning food during preparation and cooking to maintain consistent taste

Regulate the temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment, store food in accordance with food safety requirements.

Portion meals, arrange food on plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes.

Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements, allergies and customer preferences.

Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste through proper storage and portion control.

Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen work area and follow sanitation procedures.

Follow workplace health and safety, food handling

May train and provide guidance to junior kitchen staff and apprentices, where required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Cert IV in Kitchen Management (or relevant equivalent experience)

Proven experience as a Commercial Cook in a high-volume restaurant is essential

Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high food quality, safety and hygiene protocols.
