Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and student-centred Part-Time Lecturer to deliver the Organisational Behaviour and Operations Management modules for our International Year One (IYO) Business Management programme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, facilitating student learning, assessing academic performance, and creating an interactive learning environment that supports academic excellence and student development. The lecturer should be able to relate theoretical concepts to contemporary business practices through relevant examples and case studies.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver the Organisational Behaviour and Operations Management modules in accordance with the approved curriculum and learning outcomes.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and learning resources.
Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and learning activities that promote student engagement, critical thinking, and practical application.
Teach topics including:
Organisational Behaviour
Introduction to Organisational Behaviour
Individuals and Groups/Teams
Organisation
Leadership
Communication in Organisations
Managing Change and Organisational Development
Operations Management
Introduction to Operations Management
Fundamentals of Operations Management
Lean Operations Management
Operations Strategy
Assess students' coursework, assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations in a timely and fair manner.
Provide academic guidance, constructive feedback, and learning support to students throughout their studies.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment results, and academic progress in accordance with institutional policies.
Participate in academic meetings, moderation, and quality assurance activities where required.
Keep abreast of current developments and best practices in business and management to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Perform other academic or administrative duties as assigned by the institution.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and competency in teaching both Organisational Behaviour and Operations Management.
Prior teaching experience in higher education, private education, or adult learning is preferred.
Relevant industry experience in operations management, business management, organisational development, human resources, consulting, supply chain management, or related business functions will be an advantage.
Strong presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation tools.
Candidates with recognised adult education qualifications (e.g. ACTA, ACLP or equivalent) will have an advantage.
