About The Role
As a Trainee Draftsperson, you'll support our design and project teams by producing high-quality technical drawings and project documentation. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with a genuine interest in engineering design who is looking to develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing detailed HVAC drawings and technical documentation.
Learn and develop proficiency in industry-leading drafting software.
Produce accurate project documentation, equipment schedules and design records.
Perform quality checks on drawings before submission.
Occasionally attend project sites to gain practical understanding of installations and assist with design updates.
Maintain document control and ensure project records are up to date.
Work closely with senior team members to continually improve your technical knowledge.
Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, company procedures and safety requirements.
Contribute positively to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
About You
We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine desire to learn. You don't need years of experience—we're looking for the right attitude and commitment to developing your career.
You'll ideally have:
An Advanced Diploma in Building Design or Engineering Technology (Mechanical) (highly regarded but not essential).
A genuine interest in engineering, drafting, design or construction technology.
Strong attention to detail and excellent spatial awareness.
Well-developed communication and organisational skills.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn from experienced mentors.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do approach.
A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
