About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor (EMA licensed Electrician) to join ENGIE Services in the Central Region on a full-time basis. This is a critical position within our Electrical/Electronic Engineering division, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. As an EMA licensed electrician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure whilst adhering to all regulatory standards and best practices within the industry.
Key responsibilities
Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily operations, inspections, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and installations
Act as the first responder for electrical faults, system breakdowns, and operational issues, ensuring timely rectification and minimal downtime
Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective maintenance in accordance with schedules and safety standards
Attend to emergency situations and provide standby support when required
Supervise and be present during all electrical switching operations in compliance with statutory and safety regulations
Issue and manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) and “Clear Area” certifications to ensure safe execution of works
Ensure full compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations, company policies, and EMA requirements
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of maintenance and project activities
Maintain proper documentation, logs, and reports for all maintenance activities and incidents
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Higher Nitec / Nitec / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, or facilities management environment
Certified LEW Grade 7 with valid EMA Electrician’s License is mandatory
Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, switching procedures, and safety practices
Experience in managing electrical installations in commercial, industrial, or critical environments will be an advantage
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders
Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team
Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or in challenging environmental conditions
