Available Opportunities

We currently have the following positions available for qualified lifeguards to join our team:

  • Multiple Temporary Part Time Positions - various hours - Summer seasonal contracts from October 2026 - April 2027 with training shifts commencing in September.
  • Casual Positions - various hours

Lifeguard shifts are across a variety of hours ranging from 5am -10pm, including weekend work.

Here’s what you’ll be up to…

  • Supervising water spaces and ensuring patron safety
  • Providing exceptional customer service to members and guests
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming aquatic environment
  • Responding to incidents and provide First Aid when required
  • Supporting day to day operations and assisting with programs and bookings
  • Contributing ideas to improve service delivery and safety

What are we looking for?

We are after someone who:

  • Brings excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Enjoys working in a team and thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Holds a Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Has First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Has a valid NSW Working with Children Check

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.
