Purpose of Role

To deliver service to patients and clinicians, responsible for:

providing support in preparing and delivering high quality treatment and service to patients by contributing to all aspects of assistance to the practice clinicians under the supervision and direction of a dental operator; and

the operation of all front desk and reception activities as well as supporting operational requirements of the practice in conjunction with the Practice Manager.

Your key duties (in addition to others):

Greet patients and prepare them for scheduled orthodontic procedures;

Provide administrative support to the Orthodontist, Hygienist and/or Practice Manager;

Provide assistance to the clinicians (Orthodontist and Hygienists)

Prepare the treatment room as directed by the dental operator and ensure correct instruments and materials are available for use;

Clean and sterilise the instruments prior to and after treatment;

Clean the surgery and treatment room in accordance with the infection control and practice’s policies and procedures;

Operate digital imaging equipment;

Provide patients with necessary pre and post-operative instructions;

Arrange for maintenance and re-stock of orthodontic supplies;

Undergo on-boarding training and seek guidance from more experienced colleagues;

Assist the senior DA with the training of future new DAs when necessary;

Ensure occupational health and safety protocol is adhered to;

Maintain a sterile and neat working environment.
