Future Engineering Group (a subsidiary group of Tasmea Limited (ASX:TEA) is seeking a hands-on Group Payroll and HR Administrator to support employees across our group of businesses, including Future Engineering & Communications, Future Power, Rollwell Engineering and Westplant.
About the Role
This is a newly created shared-services role with responsibility for coordinating accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records and providing practical HR administration support across the group.
As the Group Payroll and HR Administrator you will be someone who enjoys working with detail, improving processes and supporting employees and managers in a busy operational environment.
Working closely with the Group Finance and HR teams, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating end-to-end payroll processing across multiple group entities
Reviewing timesheets, allowances, deductions, leave and payroll changes
Maintaining employee payroll and personnel records
Processing new starters, terminations and employee changes
Completing payroll reconciliations and supporting month-end reporting
Coordinating superannuation, PAYG withholding and other payroll obligations
Assisting with Single Touch Payroll reporting and payroll year-end processes
Monitoring leave balances and supporting employee entitlement calculations
Preparing payroll reports and responding to employee and management queries
Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding
Coordinating employment contracts, letters and other HR documentation
Maintaining training, licence, qualification and compliance records
Assisting with workers compensation, return-to-work and insurance administration
Supporting HR reporting, recruitment and general employee administration
Helping standardise payroll and HR processes across the group
About you
You will be approachable, discreet and confident managing sensitive employee information.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous payroll and HR administration experience
Experience processing payroll for multiple entities, locations or employee groups
Good knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation, leave entitlements and Single Touch Payroll
Strong reconciliation and numerical skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet fixed deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence using payroll systems, Microsoft Excel and other business systems
The ability to manage confidential information appropriately
Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, construction or operational environment would be advantageous
Experience with Access Micropay would be helpful but is not essential
