SAP Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead a significant enterprise transformation initiative involving the migration from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA (RISE). This role will play a critical leadership position in planning, governing and delivering a large-scale ERP modernisation program within a complex stakeholder environment.

Working with senior executives, business leaders and technical teams, you will oversee the successful delivery of project outcomes, ensuring milestones, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations are effectively managed throughout the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery and governance of complex SAP transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and reporting frameworks.
• Drive project outcomes across functional, technical and integration workstreams.
• Manage project budgets, procurement activities, contracts and resource allocation.
• Provide strategic advice and reporting to senior executives and governance boards.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Oversee quality assurance and ensure deliverables meet business objectives.
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Lead organisational change, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and review business cases, executive briefs, project reports and governance documentation.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure delivery against contractual obligations.

Essential Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Proven experience delivering SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA migration programs.
• Completion of at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation.
• Strong understanding and practical application of SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience managing large-scale ERP modernisation initiatives within government or similarly complex organisations.
• Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional teams including business, technical, integration and vendor resources.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience managing project governance, budgets, risks and delivery assurance.

Technical Expertise

Highly desirable experience includes:

• SAP S/4HANA RISE transformation programs.
• Understanding of modernisation impacts across:
• Finance
• Procurement
• HR/Payroll
• Management of S/4HANA-specific risks including:
• Custom code remediation
• Business Partner conversion
• Data migration complexities
• Cutover planning and execution
• Integration impacts and dependencies
