Curtin Kalgoorlie is seeking an Administration & Community Development Officer to support campus operations while contributing to community engagement initiatives that strengthen connections across the Goldfields.
About the Role:
This is a varied and rewarding role combining administration, coordination and community engagement. You’ll support day-to-day campus activities while helping deliver programs, events and partnerships with schools, industry and community groups, enhancing Curtin’s presence in the region and supporting pathways into education and training.
Working closely with the Campus Operations Manager and broader campus team, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering a professional, welcoming and connected campus experience.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative support across the Kalgoorlie Campus and the Western Australian School of Mines (WASM).
- Coordinating and supporting community engagement programs, outreach activities and events.
- Assisting with logistics, communications, documentation and scheduling for campus initiatives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with schools, industry, community organisations and stakeholders.
- Supporting project activities, including data collection, reporting and coordination of deliverables.
- Providing front-line reception and ensuring a professional, responsive experience for visitors.
- Maintaining effective administrative systems and processes to support campus operations

- Strong administrative, organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive, customer-focused and team-oriented approach.
- Experience in administration, community engagement, events or a related area.
- A genuine interest in regional development and community connection.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a regional Community Development role/organisation.

Role Requirements:
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role

- Ability to work outside of normal hours from time to time.

What We Offer You:
This two-year fixed term, full-time role attracts a remuneration of $83,283 - $91,103 (G05) annually + a locality allowance and 17% superannuation.
