This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Federal Government organisation undergoing a significant program of infrastructure modernisation and technology uplift. Operating in a complex enterprise environment, the organisation is investing heavily in the delivery of critical ICT projects that will improve technology capability, security, resilience, and user experience across the business.
Working within a collaborative and high-performing technology team, you'll play a key role in delivering projects that have real organisational impact, while working alongside experienced technical specialists, architects, operations teams, and senior stakeholders.
Your new role
As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex ICT infrastructure initiatives across enterprise-scale environments. This is a hands-on delivery role suited to a Project Manager who understands the realities of technical infrastructure projects and can confidently engage with engineers, network specialists, cloud teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders alike.
Projects may span:
- Cloud migration and infrastructure transformation initiatives
- Network upgrades and enterprise connectivity projects
- Data centre and hosting environment changes
- Server and storage refresh programs
- Cybersecurity and resilience uplift projects
- End-user computing and workplace technology deployments
- Infrastructure modernisation and technology lifecycle initiatives
You will be responsible for project planning, governance, budget and schedule management, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, risk and issue management, and the successful transition of solutions into operational support.
This role is Canberra-based and operates within a hybrid working environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex ICT infrastructure projects within large enterprise or government environments
- Strong knowledge of core infrastructure technologies, including networks, cloud platforms, servers, storage, end-user computing, and data centre environments
- Proven ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies, and governance requirements
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams, vendors, and service providers
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across both technical and business audiences
- Strong project documentation, reporting, and executive communication capabilities
- A practical, delivery-focused approach with the ability to navigate competing priorities and complex environments
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to hold at least a Baseline Security Clearance
