The Partnership and Philanthropy Manager will support our partnership and fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and implement partnership and fundraising strategies to support major capital projects, regular appeals, ES Endowment Fund, cultural events and legacy program, identify new opportunities, and build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Core objectives include:

Assist in the development and implementation of partnership and fundraising strategies

Research and identify potential partners for the synagogue’s events

Build and maintain relationships with existing donors and identify potential new donors

Coordinate events, meetings, and communications with partners and stakeholders

Assist in the preparation of funding proposals, reports, and other materials

Manage and maintain accurate records of partnerships and fundraising activities

Support Emanuel Synagogue Foundation initiatives, events and Committee meetings

Support fundraising activities of Executive Manager, President and the clergy

Identifying and submitting grant applications to support operations of Emanuel Synagogue

Attend community events to liaise with partners and donors

Collaborate with team members to achieve organisational goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

A degree or equivalent qualification and/or demonstrated experience and capability in major gift fundraising, and/or experience of building long-term customer relationships in sales or marketing

Experience in a similar role or NFP is an advantage

Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices

Familiarity with CRM software and online fundraising platforms

Knowledge, experience and skills in IT, including Google workspace applications, databases; e-mail systems; a high level of competence in creating and producing reports using canva, power point and AI tools.
