About the Company

Our client is a well-established multinational manufacturing company with a strong global presence. They are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and project purchasing activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted supply and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities include:

Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase order creation, and supplier performance management.

Develop sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, lead time, commercial terms, and long-term supply agreements.

Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to improve delivery, quality, and overall supplier effectiveness.

Manage subcontractors and external service providers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with contractual requirements.

Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations to resolve procurement and material-related issues.

Ensure accurate purchase order processing and maintain material master data, supplier records, pricing, and procurement documentation.

Analyse procurement data and develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools to support business decisions.

Support project procurement activities by ensuring timely material availability and effective supplier coordination.

Identify supply risks proactively and implement mitigation plans to minimize operational disruptions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve procurement efficiency, supplier performance, inventory management, and overall supply chain effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards.

Monitor procurement KPIs and support cost reduction initiatives across assigned commodity portfolios.

Requirements

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Procurement, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, project purchasing, or supply chain within a Manufacturing MNC.

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

Minimum 5 years of ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Experience using Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Good understanding of inventory management, material planning, and supply chain operations.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of machining, metal commodities, heat treatment, coating, or welding processes will be an added advantage.
