Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant
$80–$90 per hour + Super
Casual | Part-time or full-time options for the right candidate
Southern Tasmania | Flexible and autonomous working arrangements
Looking for a workplace rehabilitation role where your experience is trusted, your time is respected and quality matters more than billable targets?
Allied Workplace Solutions is a Tasmanian-owned, boutique workplace rehabilitation consultancy run by clinicians, for clinicians.
We have built a strong reputation across Tasmania for delivering high-quality workplace rehabilitation services and achieving sustainable return to work outcomes. We work closely with employers, insurers, medical professionals and other stakeholders, with a focus on clinical reasoning, professional integrity and genuinely individualised outcomes.
We are deliberately small and selective. We prioritise quality over volume and value experienced clinicians who take pride in their work.
As our founder prepares for maternity leave, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Allied Health professional to join our team and support our established caseload.
Why join us?
$80–$90+ per hour + super
We offer remuneration well above industry standard, with consultants commencing in the $80s per hour and opportunities to progress to $90+ per hour based on experience, quality of work and loyalty.
Genuine flexibility
You will have significant autonomy over your working hours, caseload and schedule.
This role could suit an experienced professional seeking:
Flexible casual work
Part-time hours alongside other commitments

The opportunity to increase hours when it suits you
A full-time workload without the constraints of a traditional corporate environment
No KPIs or billable targets

We trust experienced clinicians to manage their caseload, workload and professional responsibilities appropriately, allowing you to focus on providing a high-quality service.
Clinician-led and supportive
You will work alongside a highly experienced team of rehabilitation professionals who value collaboration, knowledge-sharing and professional respect.
We offer autonomy without leaving you unsupported. You will have access to the team whenever you need it, while retaining the freedom to manage your work independently.
The practical benefits
Laptop computer supplied for work purposes
Work phone supplied if required
Established caseload
Strong referral and stakeholder relationships across Tasmania

Workplace assessments and job task analysis
Liaison with workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners
Case conferencing and stakeholder communication
Development and review of return to work / injury management plans
High-quality rehabilitation reporting
Supporting safe, sustainable and meaningful return to work outcomes
We are particularly interested in experienced consultants who can confidently manage a caseload with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
About you
You will have:
A tertiary qualification as an Occupational Therapist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist, Registered Nurse or Social Worker
Current professional registration or membership
Demonstrated minimum 3 years workplace rehabilitation experience
Strong clinical reasoning and professional judgement
Excellent report-writing skills
The ability to work autonomously and manage your own caseload
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence working with workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners
A current driver's licence
Experience within the Tasmanian Workers Compensation system is highly desirable.
Why this role is different
This is an opportunity for an experienced clinician who is confident in their clinical knowledge and wants to work in an environment built around trust rather than micromanagement.
We are not a high-volume provider and we are not looking to become one. We maintain a deliberately small, high-calibre team and focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients and stakeholders.
If you value clinical autonomy, flexibility, excellent remuneration and the ability to do meaningful work without unnecessary corporate constraints, we'd love to hear from you.
