Shift Structure & Pay
- $54.00 per hour base rate + applicable shift loadings and overtime
- Guaranteed overtime
- Currently supporting a major installation project scheduled for completion before Christmas
- During the current project phase, the team is predominantly working day shifts of approximately 10–12 hours per day
- Occasional night shifts may be required depending on the end client's operational requirements
- Following completion of the installation project, the role will transition onto a long-term rotating roster
- Long-term roster structure will be either a 4 on / 4 off rotation or 2 weeks days / 2 weeks afternoons / 2 weeks nights
- 15% afternoon shift loading & 30% night shift loading
- Excellent earning potential through overtime, shift loadings and project hours
The Role
You’ll be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding across sophisticated automated material handling and robotic systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Electrical installation and commissioning of new automated equipment and systems
- Electrical fault finding and breakdown response across automated and PLC-controlled systems
- Fault finding on motors, VSDs, sensors and electrical drive systems
- Working with photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, encoders and other field devices
- Diagnosing faults through PLC interfaces and control systems
- Working on control panels, relays, contactors and safety circuits
- Electrical maintenance across conveyor, sortation and automated material handling systems
- Preventative and planned electrical maintenance
- Supporting system upgrades, modifications and electrical improvements
- Working closely with mechanical and controls teams to diagnose complex equipment faults
- Exposure to robotics and advanced automation technology across both legacy and new equipment
Requirements
- Trade qualified Electrician – Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent
- Current electrical licence
- Industrial electrical maintenance, installation or service experience
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with motors, VSDs, sensors and control systems
- PLC fault-finding experience highly regarded
- Previous experience within automation, manufacturing, logistics, material handling or similar industrial environments highly regarded
