$60/hr base + 15% shift loading + weekend penalties

Our client is looking for A-Grade Maintenance Electricians to join their permanent maintenance team at a well-established food manufacturing site in Broadmeadows.

There are two permanent positions available:

🔄 Rotating Day & Night Shift

🌙 Dedicated Night Shift

Both positions offer the same $60 per hour base rate, plus applicable shift and weekend penalties.

💰 What's on offer?

$60 per hour base rate

15% shift loading

Saturday – 1.5x ($90/hr)

Sunday – 2x ($120/hr)

Approx. $166K annual earning potential based on the current roster and applicable loadings/penalties

🕐 Choose your roster

Position 1 – Rotating Day & Night

6:00am – 6:00pm

6:00pm – 6:00am

Day/night rotation every 14 days

Position 2 – Dedicated Night Shift

6:00pm – 6:00am

Permanent night shift

No day-shift rotation

Both positions pay the same $60/hr base rate.

🔧 The role

You'll be responsible for keeping production machinery running safely and reliably, including:

Preventative and breakdown maintenance

Electrical fault finding and diagnostics

Troubleshooting production machinery

Electrical control systems

Planned maintenance and inspections

Machinery installations, upgrades and commissioning

Reading and interpreting electrical drawings

Working with Production to minimise downtime

Completing maintenance records and documentation

👷 What you need

Current A-Grade Electrical Licence – essential

Previous experience as a Maintenance Electrician

Manufacturing, industrial or production maintenance experience

Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance

Ability to read electrical drawings

PLC fault-finding experience highly regarded

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Food manufacturing experience is not essential.
