- Salary: circa $148k base + super + 19 day month
- Location: Ringwood (opposite Ringwood Station)
Maroondah City Council has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a professional individual with demonstrated experience in Assets Management role (or equivalent relevant experience) to lead Maroondah City Councils Asset Management team.
Working in a 5 Star Green Star Accredited facility and reporting to the Manager Projects & Asset Management, the successful applicant will provide high-level leadership, supervision and mentoring to the Asset Management Team, while coordinating the delivery of Council’s Total Life Cycle Asset Management program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the Asset Management team
- Coordinating and implementing asset management policies and strategies
- Developing and improving high-level Asset Management Plans
- Providing advice to senior management and stakeholders
- Supporting Council’s corporate Asset Management Systems
- Assisting with capital and operational budget coordination
About you
You will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in asset management, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong experience coordinating asset management policies, strategies and planning across a broad range of community assets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders to manage assets across their total life cycle

About Maroondah City Council
Maroondah City Council was constituted as a new municipality on 15 December 1994. The City of Maroondah is made up of three wards, with each ward represented by three Councillors.
Council elections were held in November 2012 and the new Council will remain in office until the next election in 2016. Councillors elect the Mayor each year to serve as the principal ambassador for the City.
