Remagine Labs is a pioneering MedTech startup specializing in wearable electro-pharmaceutical drug delivery devices for the treatment of chronic conditions, including epilepsy. We are looking for a hands-on Formulation Scientist to support our formulation team in the lab. This role is aimed at someone early in their career who is comfortable with basic wet-lab chemistry, eager to learn, and excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment with exposure across formulation, manufacturing, and analytical development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of gel, semi-solid, and polymer-based formulations under supervision

• Support batch compounding, weighing, mixing, and casting processes at lab scale

• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, batch records, and lab notebooks

• Assist with equipment setup, calibration checks, and routine lab maintenance

• Support analytical testing activities (e.g., basic HPLC/UPLC sample preparation, pH, and viscosity measurements)

• Help maintain lab consumables, inventory, and material traceability

• Follow GMP/GLP-aligned documentation practices as the lab scales toward clinical manufacturing

• Assist with general lab housekeeping, safety compliance, and equipment cleaning protocols

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Tertiary qualification (Diploma, Bachelor's, or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field

• At least 1 year of industrial experience in a lab-based role (pharmaceutical or cosmetic industry preferred; chemists from related fields are also welcome)

• Comfortable with basic lab techniques: weighing, mixing, pH measurement, and basic analytical instrumentation

• Fast learner who can pick up new techniques and protocols quickly with minimal supervision

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits

• Must have full working rights in Australia

• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a small, agile team environment

Desirable:

• More than 2 years of industrial experience in a lab-based role (pharmaceutical or cosmetic industry preferred; chemists from related fields are also welcome)

• Exposure to hydrogel, polymer, or topical/transdermal formulation work

• Familiarity with GMP or GLP lab environments

• Basic awareness of Australian regulatory frameworks (TGA, AICIS)

• Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC/UPLC, viscometers, etc.)
