Our client is a specialist litigation firm with a strong reputation for complex construction and infrastructure disputes. This Special Counsel role sits within a dedicated construction litigation team acting on major building and infrastructure projects. Permanent, full-time, with genuine flexibility on how the role is structured.

The team is led by a group of highly experienced partners and acts for builders, contractors, principals, developers, sub-contractors and construction insurers on some of the largest and most technically complex projects in Australia.

Salary and Benefits offered:

• $180,000 - $250,000

About the role:

You'll run construction and infrastructure litigation and disputes matters with genuine file ownership, for a national client base.

• Manage construction litigation and disputes matters end to end
• Court proceedings, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and expert determination
• Matters arising from security of payment legislation and contractual disputes
• Collaborate with a national specialist team across multiple offices
• Genuine leadership and mentoring opportunities as the practice grows

What you'll bring:

• Admission to practise in Australia, at Solicitor through Senior Associate level
• Experience in one or more of: building and construction litigation, construction disputes, commercial litigation, contract works insurance, property insurance, ISR insurance, or first-party insurance (must have private practice experience of 7+ PAE)
• Strong dispute resolution skills, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication or mediation experience
• Working knowledge of security of payment legislation is desirable but not essential for insurance or commercial litigators
