About the Role:
An opportunity has become available for a WHS Coordinator / Safety Advisor with around 2 years’ experience to join a major construction site. Reporting to an experienced Safety Manager, you will play a key role in supporting all aspects of work health and safety (WHS) on a large-scale project.
This is a hands-on, site-based role ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction safety and gain exposure to complex builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day site safety coordination on a major construction project
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety walks
- Support incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
- Ensure SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) and risk assessments are compliant
- Monitor and enforce WHS policies and procedures on site
- Work closely with site managers, supervisors and subcontractors
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a WHS / Safety role within construction
- Exposure to residential, commercial or high-rise projects
- Understanding of NSW WHS legislation and site compliance
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with site teams
- Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV or similar)
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a desire to build a long-term career in safety
