Zoom Recruitment is partnering with a leading global agricultural company renowned for delivering innovative crop protection solutions, advanced seed technologies, and sustainable farming practices that help farmers improve productivity and achieve long-term success.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Execution Manager to lead maintenance operations at the Laverton North Facility. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving maintenance excellence, asset reliability, safety performance, and workforce effectiveness across a complex manufacturing environment.

Initially offered as a 6-month contract, this position presents the opportunity for extension or conversion to a permanent role based on business requirements and individual performance.

This opportunity will suit a highly capable maintenance leader with extensive experience in unionised manufacturing sites, asset management, and leading multidisciplinary maintenance teams.

About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for the execution of all maintenance activities across the site, ensuring plant reliability, safety, and operational performance objectives are achieved.

You will provide leadership to maintenance supervisors, trades personnel, technicians, and contractors while working closely with Operations, Reliability, Engineering, and Production teams to deliver safe and efficient maintenance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily site maintenance activities across process and utility assets.
  • Drive the execution of preventative, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance programs.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed in accordance with approved maintenance plans, schedules, and safe systems of work.
  • Lead and develop maintenance supervisors, tradespeople, and technicians across multiple disciplines.
  • Manage workforce allocation, contractor performance, shift coverage, and fatigue management.
  • Coordinate maintenance execution activities with Operations, Reliability, Planning, and Engineering teams.
  • Lead plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety-critical maintenance programs and integrity assurance requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, field engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive asset reliability and maintenance performance through effective use of CMMS and maintenance planning systems.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in maintenance leadership, asset management, or reliability within manufacturing, chemical processing, or heavy industry environments.
  • Proven experience managing maintenance teams within unionised manufacturing sites.
  • Demonstrated success leading daily maintenance operations and large maintenance workforces.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance practices.
  • Experience managing safety-critical equipment and integrity assurance programs.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and managing maintenance shutdowns and turnarounds.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance planning systems.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within a Major Hazard Facility (MHF) or high-hazard manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Process Safety Management and Safety Case requirements.
  • Experience in chemical, agricultural, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing industries.
