Apply your civil engineering expertise to contribute to the teaching and research profile of the Engineering Unit within the Faculty of Science and Technology.

About the Position
As the Lecturer Engineering, you will be involved in delivering high-quality education across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels, utilising contemporary and innovative teaching methods, including on campus, online, and blended learning approaches. You will play a key role in enhancing the teaching and research profile of the Faculty of Science and Technology, with a focus on Civil Engineering. You will contribute to curriculum design and course development to ensure programs remain current and competitive, with a particular emphasis on integrating emerging fields in civil engineering and contemporary sustainable technologies to align with industry needs. You will conduct independent and collaborative research, publishing scholarly work, securing research funding, and supervising Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

• Demonstrated experience in teaching, curriculum development and assessment, particularly in Civil Engineering and related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver high-quality teaching experiences across a range of formats, including on-campus, online, and blended delivery.
• Strong record of research activity, including the ability to produce high-quality research outputs and secure external research funding.
• Experience in supervising research students, providing guidance in research design, execution, and dissemination of findings.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within academic teams and engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge and understanding of sustainable practices in teaching, research, and administration to align with university policies and initiatives.
• Experience in fostering industry relationships and collaborations to support research, curriculum relevance, and student employability.
• Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, with emphasis on compliance and risk management in laboratory environments.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Research Active Academic Level B. The base salary will be in the range of $116, 429 – $137,659 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $136,221 - $161,061 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
