About Our Client and the Role

Our client is a leading organisation within Singapore’s aviation sector, responsible for managing one of the world’s most recognised international aviation hubs.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable / Expenditure Specialist to support the Finance team in managing Accounts Payable processes, resolving eInvoice and SAP-related issues, supporting financial closing activities and ensuring timely and accurate payments on a 12 months assignment only.

This role will work closely with internal business users, vendors and service providers, making it suitable for someone who enjoys a combination of hands-on finance operations, problem-solving and stakeholder management.

Key Scope:

Act as the main point of contact for outstanding eInvoice and SAP-related issues, coordinating with internal users, vendors and service providers to identify and resolve root causes promptly.

Ensure approved urgent payment requests are highlighted to the relevant payment processors for timely processing.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual postings, variance analysis and preparation of schedules.

Handle daily finance processes including journal validation and posting, mass uploads, reclassifications, reversals and rejection of payables within ERP systems.

Perform Statement of Account reconciliation and follow up on disputed items with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Validate employee claims, review system-generated reports and take appropriate follow-up actions where required.

Investigate data analytics reports provided by Internal Audit and relevant applications, ensuring identified issues are properly resolved.

Review reports prepared by Senior Associates.

Provide responsive and professional support to both internal and external business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should be/have:

Diploma in Accountancy with at least 8 years of relevant working experience, OR Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

At least 3 years of relevant experience within a large organisation.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Power Query, PivotTables and PowerPoint.

Experience with SAP will be an advantage.

Able to start work immediately or short notice and commit to the 12 months assignment.

Strong attention to detail with good analytical and organisational capabilities.

Good business partnering and stakeholder management skills.

Resourceful, hands-on and comfortable solving operational issues independently.

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
