Employment Consultant/Career Coach
Adelaide Metro | 4-5 Days Per Week

Help people rebuild confidence, independence and sustainable careers — in a role that requires experience, judgement and initiative.

At Beneficent, we work with people navigating injury, recovery and complex barriers to employment. This is meaningful work — but it’s also fast-paced, high-responsibility and outcome-driven.

We are seeking an experienced Employment Consultant professional who can step into a caseload with confidence, build employer relationships proactively, and drive return-to-work outcomes within the RTWSA / Workers Compensation and NDIS environment

Why Join Beneficent?

✨ Supportive, values-driven and highly collaborative team
✨ Strong mentoring from experienced leaders in injury management
✨ Flexible 4 or 5-day work arrangement
✨ Competitive salary aligned with experience – potential to earn bonuses for outcomes
✨ Autonomy to manage your caseload and build employer networks
✨ Purpose-driven work with real impact — not just process-driven targets

About Us

Beneficent is a Career Coaching and Injury Management organisation supporting individuals with injury, disability and vocational barriers to return to work, stay at work or transition into new career pathways.

Our approach is trauma-informed and grounded in our philosophy: It Pays to Care — balancing compassion with accountability and outcomes.

About the Role

This is not an entry-level role.

You will manage a diverse caseload within the Workers Compensation / RTWSA system, requiring you to confidently navigate stakeholders, competing priorities and complex client needs.

You will:

Build and maintain strong employer relationships

Support clients with job readiness, applications, interview preparation, job applications and reverse marketing

Conduct workplace visits to establish and maintain placements

Collaborate with insurers, medical professionals and allied health providers

Support NDIS participants through structured employment pathways

Drive sustainable return-to-work outcomes, not just short-term placements

What We’re Really Looking For

You are someone who can hit the ground running, take initiative and manage complexity without needing constant direction.

You bring:

Proven experience in Employment Services (essential)

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (essential)

Demonstrated experience in reverse marketing and employer engagement (essential)

High-level emotional intelligence — you can read people, de-escalate and build trust quickly (essential)

Strong understanding of Workers Compensation / RTWSA systems (highly regarded)

Confidence working with challenging clients and multiple stakeholders

Strong time management and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment

A balance of empathy and accountability — you care, but you also drive outcomes

Initiative — you don’t wait to be told what to do

What’s in it for you?

Laptop, phone, and mileage allowance provided

Paid ongoing professional development related to the role

Supportive, values-led team with wellbeing support

Supported induction commencing with job shadowing and ongoing mentoring and supervisory support.

Hybrid opportunity to work from both home and the office as negotiated

Competitive salary + super + commission to increase take-home pay

$200 per year towards approved health and wellbeing expenses such as a gym membership, fitness classes or wellbeing activities

Qualifications & Requirements

Desirable:

Career Development, Employment Services, Injury Management, Nursing, Social Work, Rehabilitation or related qualifications

Essential:

Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (with comprehensive insurance)

National Police Clearance

Full Australian working rights

Willingness to obtain:

Working With Children Check
