Tower Crane Technician
Melbourne| Full-Time | Permanent | $55ph-$65ph

Join a leading tower crane OEM and manufacturer, supporting a fleet of tower cranes across major commercial and high-rise construction projects throughout VIC. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Tower Crane Technician to join the service team, working across breakdowns, preventative maintenance, installations, commissioning and major repairs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced crane technician looking to join an OEM environment, with manufacturer training, long-term career progression, consistent overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on tower cranes and associated equipment
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Attend breakdowns and provide field service support across Sydney
• Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Assist with tower crane installations, commissioning and decommissioning
• Diagnose faults across motors, drives, control systems, limit switches and safety systems
• Complete electrical testing, fault finding and repairs
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams and technical documentation
• Work closely with OEM engineers, supervisors and site teams to resolve technical issues
• Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance documentation
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with OEM standards, WHS requirements and site procedures

What You'll Need

• A Grade Electrical Licence – essential
• Proven experience working on tower cranes, cranes or heavy industrial equipment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Mechanical and hydraulic experience highly regarded
• Experience with VSDs, PLCs, control systems and electrical schematics highly regarded
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment faults
• White Card
• Current Driver's Licence
• EWP / Working at Heights tickets highly regarded
• Crane industry or OEM experience highly regarded
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
