Key duties

• Assisting welders, boilermakers and fabricators with daily workshop tasks
• Moving, loading and unloading steel, materials and finished products
• Cutting, grinding and preparing steel components as required
• Assisting with measuring, marking and positioning steel
• Using hand and power tools under instruction
• Cleaning, grinding and preparing weld areas
• Assisting with drilling, punching and general steel preparation
• Packing and organizing fabricated steel for delivery
• Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and free from hazards
