South East Queensland Hauliers (SEQH) is a full-service wharf logistics provider based in Hemmant, just 5 minutes from the Port of Brisbane. Founded in the 1960s, SEQH has grown to become one of the largest import/export wharf carriers in Queensland whilst remaining a family-owned and operated business.

SEQH operates across three sites in South East Queensland and continues to invest in its people, infrastructure, and operations to support ongoing growth. This position will be based at our Head Office in Hemmant.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Export Coordinator to join our fast-paced team at the SEQH Head Office in Hemmant.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in export operations, freight forwarding, shipping, transport, or logistics administration who can confidently step into the role and contribute from day one.

You will be responsible for coordinating export bookings, managing documentation, scheduling container movements, and ensuring shipments meet all wharf and customer requirements. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.

On-site position only

Start time: 8:00am

Key Responsibilities

Review daily shipping schedules to ensure containers meet wharf cut-off times.

Enter and manage export bookings accurately within company systems.

Coordinate container deliveries and collections to and from customer sites.

Prepare, review, and manage export documentation.

Ensure compliance with export requirements and shipping regulations.

Provide exceptional customer service and act as a key point of contact for clients.

Liaise with shipping lines, customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and operational teams.

Assist with slot bookings, scheduling activities, and other operational requirements as required.

Monitor and manage shipment timelines to ensure customer expectations are met.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as an Export Coordinator or in a similar export, freight forwarding, shipping, transport, or logistics role is essential.

Strong understanding of export documentation and shipping processes.

Experience coordinating container movements and managing wharf cut-off times.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proven customer service experience.

Ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
