Major Blue Air is a leading aviation organisation providing aircraft maintenance, flight training and aviation services throughout Western Australia. Operating from our modern maintenance facility in Jandakot, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service under our CASA Part 145 Maintenance Organisation.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated B1.2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join our maintenance team.

About the Role

You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, inspections and defect rectification on a diverse fleet of general aviation aircraft in accordance with CASA regulations, Part 145 requirements and approved maintenance data.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a professional maintenance environment while contributing to the continued airworthiness and safety of our customers' aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.

Conduct inspections, troubleshooting and defect rectification.

Certify maintenance activities within the scope of CASA Part 66 B1.2 licence privileges.

Ensure all maintenance is completed in accordance with CASA Part 145 requirements.

Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately and efficiently.

Interpret and apply maintenance manuals, service bulletins and engineering instructions.

Assist with aircraft modifications, component replacements and repairs.

Support apprentices and junior maintenance personnel where required.

Promote a strong safety culture and compliance-focused work environment.

Essential Requirements

CASA Part 66 B1.2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.

Demonstrated experience in general aviation aircraft maintenance.

Sound knowledge of CASA regulations, CAR 30 and Part 145 requirements.

Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Current Australian driver's licence.

Full Australian working rights.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Experience on Cessna, and Piper aircraft.

Experience within a CASA CAR 30 or Part 145 maintenance organisation.

Human Factors and Safety Management System training.
