Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex industrial and high-technology projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing electrical engineering designs, preparing technical documentation and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet client, safety and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and deliver electrical engineering designs for industrial, high-technology, semiconductor and data centre projects.

Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, load schedules and other engineering documentation.

Perform electrical calculations including load, voltage drop, short-circuit and equipment sizing calculations.

Design and specify electrical systems including LV/MV power distribution, lighting, emergency power, earthing and lightning protection systems.

Review electrical specifications, drawings, technical documents and equipment data sheets.

Coordinate electrical designs with Mechanical, Process, Structural, Architectural, BIM and other engineering disciplines.

Support equipment selection, technical evaluations and preparation of equipment specifications.

Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors and project teams to resolve technical and design issues.

Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings and site technical discussions.

Conduct site surveys and provide engineering support during construction and installation activities where required.

Ensure designs comply with relevant Singapore codes, standards, authority requirements and project specifications.

Support project teams throughout the design, construction and commissioning stages.

Identify design risks, technical issues and opportunities for improvement.

Job Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in electrical design within industrial, semiconductor, data centre, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or commercial projects.

Good knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and building/industrial electrical services.

Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM or similar tools.

Familiarity with relevant Singapore electrical codes, standards and authority requirements.

Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Candidates with EPC, engineering consultancy or design-and-build experience will be highly regarded.
