Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Junior Finance Broker / Lending Strategist to join our team. Working under the guidance of experienced Finance Brokers, you will develop the knowledge and practical skills required to build a successful career in finance broking.

About the Role

The Junior Finance Broker / Lending Strategist assists in analysing clients' financial circumstances, identifying suitable lending solutions, preparing finance applications, and coordinating the loan approval process with banks and financial institutions.

The role involves progressively developing expertise in finance product research, credit assessment, lending strategy, compliance, and client relationship management while working under appropriate supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their financial objectives and borrowing requirements.

Analyse clients' financial position, income, liabilities, assets and borrowing capacity.

Research and compare lending products across a panel of banks and financial institutions.

Develop lending strategies appropriate to clients' financial goals.

Prepare and coordinate residential, commercial and asset finance applications.

Liaise with lenders, credit assessors, solicitors, conveyancers, valuers and other stakeholders throughout the application process.

Negotiate with lenders regarding loan structures, pricing and approval outcomes.

Prepare finance documentation and ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.

Monitor loan applications through to formal approval and settlement.

Maintain accurate client records and provide ongoing relationship management and post-settlement support.

Keep current with lending policies, finance products and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

Essential:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; or

Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking

Desirable:

Previous experience in banking, finance, lending, mortgage processing, customer service or financial services.

Knowledge of Australian lending practices.

Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
