📋 The Role

As a Senior Electronic Security Technician, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of advanced electronic security systems across a diverse range of commercial, industrial and government projects.

Working alongside Project Managers, Engineers and Clients, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standard while acting as a senior technical resource across installation and commissioning activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

🔒 Installation, commissioning and servicing of enterprise electronic security systems

⚙️ Programming, testing and commissioning of Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Detection and Intercom systems

📹 Installation and configuration of IP-based CCTV, Access Control and integrated security platforms

🚪 Installation of Gate Automation and Perimeter Security solutions

🔌 Structured cabling, fibre optic installation, data networking and field device terminations

🛠️ Advanced fault-finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance across client sites

📋 Reading technical drawings, wiring schematics and project documentation

🤝 Working closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification

👷 Providing technical leadership, client support and system handovers on completed projects

📝 Completing commissioning documentation, service reports and compliance paperwork

👀 What We're Looking For

✔️ Proven experience installing, servicing and commissioning Commercial Electronic Security Systems (essential)

✔️ Strong knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Detection and integrated security systems

✔️ Experience working on commercial, industrial or government projects

✔️ Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

✔️ Experience with structured cabling, networking and security infrastructure

✔️ Ability to interpret technical drawings and system documentation

✔️ Excellent communication and customer service skills

✔️ Current QLD Security Licence (essential)

✔️ Current Open Cabling Licence (essential)

✔️ Current Driver's Licence

Highly Regarded

⭐ Experience with enterprise platforms such as Gallagher, Integriti, Genetec, Milestone, Inner Range, Hikvision, AXIS, Bosch, Tecom or similar

⭐ Experience commissioning integrated electronic security systems

⭐ Previous experience leading projects or mentoring junior technicians
