About the role
We are seeking a senior Machine Learning Research leader to define and drive the intelligence direction of our AI platform. You will lead research in reasoning, memory, planning and AI orchestration while working closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate research into reliable, production-ready AI capabilities.
Key responsibilities
Define the research roadmap for AI reasoning, memory, context and planning.
Evaluate and develop model architectures or leverage existing foundation models.
Establish evaluation frameworks covering performance, reliability, safety and real-world effectiveness.
Lead AI alignment, safety and guardrail strategies.
Research and apply techniques such as RAG, Mixture-of-Experts (MoE), model distillation, multi-agent systems and multimodal AI.
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
Set technical standards and provide leadership across AI/ML initiatives.
About you
Degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production.
Deep understanding of LLMs, foundation models, model evaluation and AI system behaviour.
Experience with RAG, multimodal AI, agentic systems, model optimisation or AI safety is advantageous.
Strong programming skills in Python with experience in PyTorch, JAX or similar frameworks.
Experience with GPU-based training and inference.
Strong technical judgment, problem-solving and system design capabilities.
Ability to translate research into practical, scalable products.
Work Arrangement
Fully remote role within a global, remote-first team.
GMT+8 working hours are not required.
Team members work across different time zones with sufficient overlap for collaboration.
Working hours depend on team and project requirements rather than a fixed company-wide schedule
