OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join a growing Australian team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for developing new business and managing existing relationships across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, with a focus on the mining, quarrying, industrial minerals, recycling, and materials handling sectors.
This role blends business development and technical capital equipment sales, requiring someone who can understand mineral processing challenges, identify opportunities, and work closely with customers to develop tailored engineering solutions from concept through to commissioning.
The successful candidate can be based in Melbourne or Adelaide, working remotely from home while travelling extensively throughout the territory to meet with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with mining companies, quarry operators, recycling businesses, EPCs, EPCMs and engineering contractors.
- Identify and convert new project opportunities across wet processing, water management and mineral processing applications.
- Conduct technical sales presentations, customer meetings and equipment demonstrations, including supporting laboratory test work where required.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to prepare proposals, tenders, process solutions and commercial submissions.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation, project award and commissioning support.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records and market intelligence.
- Represent the business at industry conferences, exhibitions and networking events.
- Travel extensively throughout Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, with periodic travel to Perth and interstate project sites.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking candidates with experience selling capital equipment or engineered solutions into mining, quarrying, industrial processing or related markets. Experience with wet processing, filtration, mineral processing or water treatment equipment is highly regarded, however candidates from broader heavy industrial, mobile plant or turnkey project environments are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Proven success selling capital equipment, industrial plant or engineered solutions.
- Experience working within mining, quarrying, recycling, mineral processing or other heavy industrial sectors.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Process or Chemical Engineering (or similar) are highly regarded.
- Strong capability managing complex technical sales, project-based opportunities and tender submissions.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Full Australian driver’s licence and unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, with occasional interstate travel as required.
