Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise banking applications and business solutions. This role focuses on application and solution architecture for system implementation and development, working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in software architecture patterns, system integration methodologies, and hands-on solution design and development within the banking industry.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end application and solution architectures that align with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards.

Translate business requirements into technical solution designs, architecture blueprints, and system integration specifications.

Lead solution design throughout the full software development lifecycle, including implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and production support.

Define application architecture standards, integration frameworks, design principles, and best practices.

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams during system implementation.

Design scalable application architectures using RESTful APIs, microservices, messaging, and distributed systems.

Collaborate with business users, project managers, developers, QA teams, infrastructure, and vendors to deliver successful system implementations.

Review solution designs to ensure compliance with security, performance, scalability, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, solution specifications, and design documents.

Support architecture governance, design reviews, and technology evaluations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, Systems Design, or Software Engineering.

Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise business applications, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

Extensive hands-on experience in system implementation, application development, and solution delivery.

Strong understanding of:

Software architecture patterns

Application integration methodologies

RESTful APIs

Microservices

Event-driven and distributed architectures

Strong understanding of software development principles with the ability to work closely with development teams.

Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery best practices.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Hands-on experience in Java application development and Node.js implementation.

Experience designing and implementing enterprise banking systems or digital banking solutions.

Experience working on large-scale system integration and application modernization projects.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of network and security architecture.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).

Familiarity with MAS, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, or other regulatory frameworks.

TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or other Solution Architecture certifications.

Knowledge of ITIL or IT Service Management (ITSM).
