Talent Advisory is proud to be partnering with a well established technology business to recruit an experienced Service Desk Technician (Level 1 & 2).

Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering managed IT and telecommunications solutions to organisations across Tasmania.

If you enjoy variety, solving technical problems and working closely with clients, this is an opportunity to join a small team where your work genuinely makes a difference.

About the Role

This is a hands on role combining technical support with service delivery. You'll be the first point of contact for client enquiries, resolving Level 1 and Level 2 support requests while also coordinating telecommunications orders and changes.

No two days are the same. One minute you could be troubleshooting Microsoft 365 issues, the next assisting with networking, onboarding a new user or coordinating a mobile or nbn service activation.

The role includes occasional travel to client sites across Tasmania and participation in an after hours support roster.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to business clients

Supporting Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Entra ID

Troubleshooting Windows desktops, printers, networking and firewall issues

Managing user onboarding and offboarding

Processing mobile, nbn and SIP orders

Coordinating service changes with carriers and suppliers

Maintaining accurate documentation and ticket records

Delivering outstanding customer service both remotely and onsite

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people just as much as technology.

Ideally you will have:

Experience in an IT Service Desk or Helpdesk role

Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills

A solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and firewalls

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

A current Australian driver's licence

Full Australian working rights

Experience within a Managed Services Provider environment or telecommunications would be highly regarded, but attitude, professionalism and a willingness to learn are just as important.

What's on Offer

Permanent full time position

Competitive salary based on experience

Diverse and interesting work across IT and telecommunications

Opportunity to develop your technical skills

Supportive team environment where your contribution is valued

Genuine opportunity for long term career growth
