Junior Solicitor – 1–3 Years PAE (Post-Admission Experience)

Brown & Turner Legal is seeking a motivated Junior Solicitor with approximately 1–3 years’ post-admission experience (PAE) to join our legal team.

We are looking for someone who is fluent in both English and Chinese, motivated to develop their legal career and keen to gain hands-on experience across a range of legal matters.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our solicitors & team and be involved in a variety of legal work, including:

● Assisting with the conduct of client matters

● Drafting legal correspondence and documents

● Legal research

● Communicating with clients, counsel and other legal professionals

● Assisting with court matters and case preparation

● General file and matter management

About You

We are looking for someone who:

● Is an Australian-admitted solicitor with approximately 1–3 years’ PAE

● Is fluent in both English and Chinese

● Has strong written and verbal communication skills

● Is organised, reliable and professional

● Has strong attention to detail

● Is willing to learn and develop their practical legal skills

● Is comfortable communicating directly with clients

Experience

While previous experience in a law firm or legal environment will be highly regarded, extensive previous legal experience is not required.

We are particularly interested in junior solicitors within their first to third year of practice who are fluent in Chinese and English and are eager to develop their skills.

We recognise that many practical aspects of legal practice can be taught, and training, guidance and support will be provided to the right candidate.
